In 2009 I knew I was going to hit the big "50" (9/11/59) and felt like I had really let my body get out of shape. I knew I needed to do something so that I might enjoy grandchildren and, Lord willing, great grandchildren.

So, I started "getting healthy" in the Winter/Spring of 2009. First, I started going to Ferndale's Thrive Community Fitness Center. Until summer outdoor activities, I was averaging 30-35 visits/month at Thrive.

Then in 2009 I participated in a number of events that kept me wanting to stay in shape. I list them below, my "results," and some of the things I am looking forward to in the future.

Oh, and my biggest accomplishment; I lost about 35 pounds this year and was able to reduce my life insurance premiums, as a results!
